The Land of

Living Inquiry

An exploratorium for ecology, creativity and embodiment

Rhizome Springs is an off-grid community
on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia.

The land is being nurtured as a space for people to gather, explore, build, learn, live and grow into new regenerative ways of being through participatory workshops, land development and creative events.

What does it mean to live in harmony?

In harmony with the land that feeds us, the air that breathes us, the water that enlivens us…

On a clear day, from this mountain, you can see a very long way. From this vista, what we see alive in the world stirs every part of our being. Things that inspire us, things that terrify us, things that clearly need our care, and things that mystify us, certainly.

Whether we are moved to tears of joy or tears of sorrow, we’ve chosen to begin planting a seed for the kind of future we hear calling us – a seed of possibility, a seed of discovery, a seed of the many humble learnings that only true inquiry can bring.

The process of living inquiry is our north star. We know we don't have all the answers. We’ve hardly made a dent in the questions. But through the process of living into our questions, and being in dialogue with the answers we unearth – the land becomes our laboratory; the community our teachers; our bodies the compass… pointing the way to the possibility of living in a better way.

We’ve just begun planting this seed, would you like to help us tend to it?

Rhizome Springs is in the early stages of development. We’re honoured to share a glimpse into our vision with you here. If you’re interested in getting involved, we’d love to hear from you.
