We are excited to announce the 9th annual Contact Improvisation Dance Festival will take place on Salt Spring Island July 24th to August 2nd, 2026. Home to the Hul’Q’Umi’Num and Sencoten speaking people of the Coast Salish nation where we are grateful to gather, dance, work, play and continue to tend to this beautiful land.
We will be gathering for 10 days of dance with a medley of

• Classes

• Jams (silent and with improvised music)

• Curated conversations with Somatic Relational Therapist, Natalie Rousseau (belonging, consent, nervous system awareness, sexuality and CI)

• Performance night

• Lake time and nature exploration
  
  

A place where dance, community, art, nature and self discovery all meet in a space of investigation, a time of play.
